Lido Key Public Beach

Miles of White Beaches on Lido Key

Lido Key has excellent public beaches. The largest is Lido Public Beach, located mid-key on Ben Franklin Drive, one half mile southwest of St. Armand's Circle, on Ben Franklin Drive. Lido Public Beach offers a large parking lot, wide beach with cabana rentals, concessions, restrooms and lifeguards. There are beach wheelchairs available during the lifeguard hours.

The historic public pool at the south end of this beach is currently closed, but recently funds and plans were put in place to remodel and open it.

South Lido Park

South Lido offers a wide white sand beach, great for walking

On the south end of Lido you will find South Lido Park, a natural 100 acre park where no pesticides are used. At this park there are many shade trees, picnic facilities, restrooms, volleyball courts, nature trails, large shade trees and some quiet beach areas. Swimming can be dangerous here as there are currents between Lido Key and Siesta Key. This is a great place to see manatees and dolphins, we anchored our boat here and saw a family of 4 manatees recently.

North Lido Key Beach

North Lido Beach is located on Lido Key, one quarter mile northwest of St. Armands Circle, off of John Ringling Blvd. The beach is pristine, 1/2 mile long, easy to get to and very private. Please note that there are no lifeguards on duty at this beach and the currents are very swift. Visit North Lido Beach to see a that is on the north side behind a residential area.
